Puzzle Parrot was born from a lifelong love of puzzles and the memories they’ve helped create.
My journey began when I was a young girl. My father was dealing with a serious heart condition, and during a time filled with uncertainty, we discovered something that brought us both comfort: jigsaw puzzles. We would spend hours together piecing together beautifully detailed images, one section at a time. Those quiet moments gave him a welcome distraction from fear and pain, and they gave us something even more valuable—time together. While my four sisters would occasionally join us, puzzles became our special tradition.
That love never faded.
As I grew older, puzzles became part of my friendships. My three best friends from grade school and I made them a tradition whenever we gathered—at the beach, on vacations, or simply at one another’s homes. We loved the challenge, the conversations that unfolded while we searched for the next perfect piece, and the sense of accomplishment when the final piece clicked into place.
Today, that tradition continues with my daughter. We still spread puzzles across the table, laugh over the difficult sections, celebrate the small victories, and enjoy simply being together. I also treasure the peaceful hours spent working on a puzzle by myself. In a world that constantly demands our attention, puzzles offer something rare: a chance to slow down, focus, and be fully present.
